I was impressed by how quickly the owner came to meet me, within 10 minutes of my call. He shook my hand and was very friendly. The room is beautiful, and the shared washroom has been updated and is very clean. Some of the negative reviews sound entitled to me and miss the charm of the true Italian feel you get while staying here. I would recommend it!

The advertised photos look absolutely nothing like the actual place. This is a shared apartment, not a hotel. We went in and left, which should tell you enough about the quality. Avoid.

It's one large apartment split into four individual rooms, with a shared bathroom and kitchen. Our room had its own balcony and air conditioning. The bed was comfortable, and the room felt private. It wasn't bad.

The shared bathroom wasn't made clear on Airbnb, and the price felt a bit high given that. Also, it's a 10-minute walk from the station, not three as advertised. I would've been fine with both if the listing had been honest about them.

We booked one night for me and my girlfriend. I completed online check-in, but as we were arriving late, I tried calling the manager about 15 times and got no answer. Classic. When we arrived, he didn't try to help and denied everything. He'd changed the house code, so we couldn't get the key. It felt sheerly malevolent. I had to break the box to retrieve it. As we were heading out to eat, a neighbour told us there were always lots of problems with the manager and the house. We threw the key away and stayed at the B and B Verona, which was 100x better. Avoid this place at all costs. The manager is a scammer, dodgy, unreliable, and barely speaks English. Regards, Alec
