Giovanna and her family made us feel at home right away. Their warmth and hospitality are what made the stay so special. The room was spacious, spotless, and had breathtaking views. Breakfast was a highlight too, with fresh garden ingredients and homemade treats each morning, all enjoyed overlooking Mount Vesuvius. They kindly offered shuttle rides, though we enjoyed the walk up from town and the train station for the views. Vico Equense was a peaceful place to come back to after busier tourist spots like Sorrento and Pompeii. We've already recommended it to family and friends and can't wait to return. Giovanna and her husband Andrea were wonderful hosts, even picking us up at the train station and making sure we were comfortable and happy throughout. After six days walking and cycling through Tuscany, my husband and I stayed two nights. We only wish we'd had longer. The apartment was spotless, and we loved having breakfast each morning with a good variety of fresh local ingredients. The balcony had a beautiful view across the Bay of Naples, and the apartment is about a 15-minute walk from the train station. Giovanna and her family went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Vico Equense made a convenient base for visiting Sorrento, Capri, and Pompeii, but we were glad its center had fewer tourists and felt more relaxed and authentic. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the region.

We got around without a car, using public transport and walking, and they even gave us a free shuttle to and from the train station a couple of times. If you like walking, it's a good option, but expect at least 7k steps a day if you walk everywhere, including to the beaches, and bring proper shoes. The area works well for day trips along the coast and to Napoli. Vico Equense itself felt dreamy, with restaurants, a supermarket, ice shops and other amenities, but wasn't overly touristy, at least in May. Giovanna and Andrea were so friendly and welcoming. The room looked just like the photos: clean, spacious, with a big bed and beautiful sea views. Breakfast was perfect, with lots of homemade food and fruit and tomatoes from their garden. The garden was lovely for a relaxing day, and dinner on the balcony at sunset was great. Their cat was super friendly and cute. We had a great stay, booked directly with them, and highly recommend it.
