Covo Dei Saracini

There's beach service at Gabbiano Beach, along with a market, two bars, a pool, beach volleyball, a fruit and vegetable stand, and a street fish vendor. The brick bungalow is air-conditioned and surrounded by greenery. A shaded path connects it to the beach, with 50 comfortable steps, and there's also a shuttle running 24 hours. Furnishings are simple and basic. The bathroom is comfortable and has a skylight that stays open. There are curtains but no mosquito nets. Recommended.

We had a wonderful time and will definitely come back. The location is beautiful and handy for the beach and Gabbiano Beach amenities, and the staff are friendly and efficient. The apartments were very clean, but a little dated, so I can't give it five stars. Recommended.

We stayed from 24/08/24 to 31/08/24. The houses are nice, with a small terrace, air conditioning, a bathroom, kitchen, and parking, and the residence itself is quiet. But there are lots of mosquitoes, especially at night, and basically it's a place to sleep. The residence is connected to Gabbiano Beach Hotel, where everything else happens, including reception. The hotel doesn't allow pets, so furry friends can't join you there. You can reach it with a pass that lets you use the pool, sea, entertainment, and other facilities, by shuttle in about two minutes or on foot in seven. Covo dei Saracini has no pool or entertainment. The pet restriction at Gabbiano Beach is a real downside in 2024.

When we arrived, the apartments were dirty and smelled strongly of sewage. They seemed to have been opened only the day before, August 7th. The apartments are dated, too. A late booking on our part led to a misunderstanding, and no one told us we'd need to drive our own car or use the shuttle to get to the beach. We also hadn't realized there were no other services beyond the apartments, so even getting a coffee meant driving or taking a shuttle outside the complex. I strongly advise against booking these holiday apartments. In a resort village, services should be available within walking distance, even if the beach is far enough away to need motorized transport.
