Hotel Mediterraneo

It's a quiet neighborhood and a good location. There were lots of older guests. Breakfast is free and okay, but it's Italian-style, not American: no eggs, and very strong coffee.

I don't think it was worth what I paid.

Like.

The entertainment was the one part that let me down. There were just two young entertainers working hard, but the activities felt repetitive and there wasn't much for younger guests like us. Mornings had beach muscle-toning, afternoons had nothing at the pool, and evenings were the same dancing. Karaoke and bingo one night felt like they should have involved us more. We also often found lipstick marks on the napkins. One evening I found a hair on my plate. I told the waiter, who took it to the kitchen, removed the hair, then brought back that exact same plate. There was some late-night noise from kids making a racket in the little square outside, but otherwise we had a really good stay in a beautiful, quiet place. I'd happily return if I get the chance. The hotel is very close to Vieste's center and just five minutes from the beach. Everything's nearby, including Conad, a pharmacy, tobacconist, and bars. Our room was always clean and smelled lovely, and they changed the towels daily. It had a sofa, mini fridge, safe, and a small balcony with chairs, a table, and even a clothesline. The hotel also has a big lounge with two pool tables, plus a games room downstairs with table football and ping pong. The food was good, with a vegetable buffet that was always topped up. We could choose meat or fish for both first and second courses. There was always fruit at lunch and dessert at dinner, and the portions were just right. Our waiter, Sante, was always ready to help with requests, as was our restaurant manager, Danilo. The reception staff were always available too. There are lots of facilities here: a tennis court, soccer field, gym on an outdoor level, sauna, Turkish bath, hot tubs, and a small room offering beauty and relaxation services.
