The apartment is lovely and very close to both the sea and the center, which made the problems especially disappointing. The hot water failed during my first shower on the first evening. I called the owner, who came quickly, took a look and said he’d call a plumber. The next evening the same thing happened. He came again to try to fix it, but it still wasn’t resolved. Cleaning was supposed to happen every two days. By day four I had to call, and nobody came to clean for the rest of the week. There were exposed electrical wires, cobwebs, and towels that smelled musty. I wouldn’t recommend this apartment.

The apartment’s convenient location was about the only bright spot in a very disappointing stay. The listing said cleaning was daily, but nobody came during our visit. It also promised breakfast each day, yet it was delivered only on the first morning: a loaf of bread, tomatoes, fruit, 6 eggs and 200 grams of ham, meant to cover three breakfasts for five people. We also had to prepare it ourselves, something the description didn’t mention. Parking was another problem. Although the listing called it private and free, there was no private parking. The apartment is in a ZTL, where parking isn’t possible from 8:00 PM to 7:00 AM. There’s a public lot nearby, but it costs money. We waited half an hour in the sun before we could enter. Inside, it was filthy, with hair in the shower and crumbs on the table. Toiletries listed in the description were missing, and we waited another hour for toilet paper, soap and proper cleaning. The lack of clarity and transparency was very disappointing. I’d suggest looking at other options if you’re planning to stay in Vieste.

We had a truly relaxing vacation and will be back soon. The new apartment is right in the heart of Vieste, with the historic center an easy walk away and the sea close by. It was beautiful, clean and tidy, and carefully looked after down to the smallest detail. The photos give a good sense of the space and furnishings, even my wife, who’s very picky, was pleased. The owner was welcoming and helpful throughout, with spot-on ideas for beaches, cave tours and restaurants. We also loved the guided walk through the historic center. He’s a musician and even played a piece for us on the cello.

I’ve stayed in both suites, Mozart and Chopin/Brahms. The owners gave us a warm welcome without hovering, and the interiors are finished really well, perhaps the best I’ve seen around here. It’s a peaceful location with plenty of charm.
