Villa Carabella Residence

There’s lovely greenery around the residence and a beautiful view of the sea. Our apartment was clean, but very old. The shower had no mixer tap, so we ended up with cold showers for a whole week. The managers were certainly kind, but I’m not sure I’d come back. I booked through RCI, and the property was far below standard.

The pool was always clean, and the quiet made it easy to rest. I also found the welcome and cleanliness excellent, and the staff were helpful, despite the worrying reviews I’d read beforehand. I can only give three stars because the place needs updating. A few more amenities would help too, like a bar, and there are some areas without phone service.

It’s about 1.5 km to the sea, where there’s a lovely beach with welcoming facilities that aren’t packed too closely together. The accommodations fit nicely into the landscape and have what you need for a comfortable stay. The owners are very kind and helpful. I think we’ll come back for another relaxing holiday. We can spend the day at the beach and head into Vieste in the evening for a stroll and a bit of nightlife.

The rooms were comfortable and well equipped, with good air conditioning and a stovetop, and the location was very quiet. But the sea was farther away than advertised, and the shuttle service didn’t work, even though the shuttle was parked at the entrance. The TV was completely out of order, the pool wasn’t very clean, and the bar inside had very little. We also had a power cut for three days, with outages lasting over an hour and no warning. Parking was useless and poorly covered. The pillows and mattresses were very firm, and reception didn’t stick to its posted hours.
