Ferragosto on August 15, 2014, was the most fun ever. Everyone brought chairs and tables, and the women cooked in their campers and cabins before bringing the food out. We ended up with tables full of food, laughter, and songs. Maybe it was the resort’s last beautiful summer, and I’m truly sorry, because the place had a kind of magic then. I was 15 when I visited in 2014, and it was one of my best summers. The campsite was full of campers on both sides. Yes, there were two bathrooms, with showers behind curtains in the middle of the village, but I didn’t care. We were just having fun. The pool was always busy, and I was always making friends. The bar had every kind of chips you could imagine and loads of ice cream. Three very friendly entertainers put on shows and dances for the little ones in the evenings. I read plenty of negative comments about the resort, but my holiday there was one of the best. I met Antonio, a kindhearted man who’d spend evenings with my family at our camper, telling us about his youthful adventures. I don’t know what happened to him, and I just hope he’s okay ❤️

We had such a lovely stay at Rosina Fusillo's Villaggio Alga Blu last June, 2023, that we invited relatives and friends to come in July. Everyone chose a destination suited to their own needs. Our dog had plenty of green space to relax in, the children found toys, and my elderly mother had all the comforts she needed. The cabins were clean and comfortable, and the staff made us feel at home straight away. If anything was missing, we could just ask management. Having a barbecue available made for fun, carefree evenings grilling different things under the stars. We’ll repeat the experience this year, 2024.

The only good things were the large refrigerator and balcony, where we could hang out and have breakfast we’d brought with us. I’m staying here now, and I’m glad I booked just two nights. The room was filthy, with dirt, sand, and dust everywhere. The headboard was dusty, the bedside tables had glass residue, and the sheets weren’t ironed. There were three hairs in the bed. The overhead fan didn’t work, and the rusty fan they gave me was caked in dust and missing its blade cover. That felt very dangerous. I called the manager and was told the room would be cleaned the next day and the fan replaced the day after, since employees only work in the morning. I ended up sweeping the room myself. The next day they only swept, they didn’t wash it. The headboard was still dusty, and the bathroom courtesy kit only appeared after I called.

The owners were rude, and the place was run-down, dirty, and so dark that a cemetery is better lit. The accommodation was filthy, with broken doors, and the bushes outside would grow into the house if guests didn’t cut them. They say there’s entertainment, but that’s ABSOLUTELY FALSE. This place should be shut down completely. It’s worth zero as a resort.

Nearby, there are dreamlike bays to visit, and Vieste and Peschici are beautiful both by day and in the evening. Across the road is a wide beach, with both a private lido and free beach access. The pool was clean and pleasant too. We spent two weeks in a little house at Alga Blu, with our two daughters, aged 14 and 16. The welcome was as warm as you get in the South. Renato, a Roman with a quick joke, was the village’s rare gem, always available and efficient at meeting guests’ requests. The houses are nice and spacious, though basic. We made lots of use of the lovely space outside ours, especially the wooden porch. The girls found a great group of regulars and had a wonderful time, and we enjoyed ourselves too. An experience to repeat!
