Renato Hotel

The food was a real highlight. Both breakfast and dinner had plenty of choice and were high quality. During ski season, they also serve complimentary cake and hot drinks from 4:30 to 5:30 pm, though we were usually still out on the slopes. For skiing, you can walk straight to the Catinaccio lift and the small area behind the hotel. Those pistes aren’t connected to the main Dolomiti Superski area or the Sella Ronda. To get there, you can book the hotel bus the day before for one of its fixed transfer times, or catch the public ski bus. We drove each day to the Buffaure Pozza Di Fazza lift, about eight minutes away. There was plenty of free parking there. From that lift it takes around 45 minutes to reach the main Dolomite ski area and Sella Ronda, so it may suit fast skiers better. The way back to the lift and car park at Panorama is an easy red run with lovely views. Vulcano is the more challenging black run, though it felt manageable for an advanced skier. We had a lovely four-night stay at Hotel Renato in late January 2026. Parking at the hotel was plentiful and free, and there’s one EV charging space, which was available whenever we saw it. The wellness centre has a heated indoor and outdoor pool, a jacuzzi, a steam room and a sauna. It’s a family hotel, so everyone is expected to keep their clothes on. We did see one German guest told to get dressed again after stripping off. Vigo Di Fassa’s apres-ski is fairly subdued, but there are three bars an easy walk away for a drink before dinner. The hotel bar stays open until 11 pm, though it seemed quiet every night and we didn’t use it. We’d stay again. Just be aware that the hotel doesn’t offer direct ski-in, ski-out access to the main Dolomite area.
