We were cycling in the heat, 36c, and called hoping to get a drink or some refreshment. A man opened the door and said they were closed. Maybe they were, but being turned away like that felt really inhospitable. He told us to continue 10 miles down the road to an open cafe. I want to explain what bothered me: even if the place wasn't open or didn't operate a bar, someone did answer the door. A drink of water, some shade, or even just access to a tap would have cost nothing and would have been a simple, kind gesture. At my own home, I'd offer a hot cyclist a drink without asking questions. We shouldn't have been sent 14km down the road instead.

Good food, friendly service, and prices lower than at many other restaurants I've visited around here. The place is out in the countryside, yet very close to one of the most beautiful beaches in the South West Sardinia. Recommended.

We went to Il Castello after seeing some online reviews, without expecting much, and were impressed by the courteous staff and sublime food. The pizza and dessert were both delicious. We can only recommend this place to everyone!

The Sardinian cooking was top notch, and the staff were lovely. The menu wasn't in English, but they helped us figure out what to order.
