Basco Guest House

The best part, apart from the location, was how quiet it was. Basco Guest House is right in Viterbo's historic center, steps from the Roman gate, with historical sights and plenty of businesses close by. During my brief stay, I hadn't met Mr. Francesco, but he sent detailed information over WhatsApp. With the access code, I easily picked up the key and got into the rented room. It was small and spartan but recently renovated, with a little bathroom that had everything I needed. There was no minibar or storage space. The bed had a duvet cover but no sheets, and was still quite comfortable. I had to climb two flights of stairs, the last narrow and steep, so take care. It's in a limited traffic zone (ZTL), with little parking available, so you'll need a permit or can walk from nearby parking lots a few minutes away. Given the price/service ratio, I highly recommend staying here.

Everything was just as we expected, and we had a fantastic stay. The central location, excellent cleanliness, and advanced technology were all appreciated. The staff were kind, friendly, and attentive to every need. It was also wonderfully quiet and relaxing.

I appreciated the early check-in, and Basco turned out to be a wonderful discovery. Everything felt new and thoughtfully detailed. The bed was comfortable and came with a choice of pillows, the TV and Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the bathroom was lovely. Clean and comfortable, highly recommended if you're spending a few days in Tuscia and need a home base.

The central spot makes it easy to explore Viterbo on foot, and the stay was really pleasant. Basco Guest House is a gem in the heart of Viterbo's historic center. The property feels welcoming and is meticulously maintained. The rooms are spacious, warm, and comfortable, a nice place to unwind after a day in the city. The cleanliness was impeccable. Highly recommended!
