The service made a strong impression on us. Our waiter kept an eye on things without hovering, and even though we stayed talking past closing, he never made us feel rushed. My wife and I had come for a relaxed lunch, and the bright room and pleasant view made it easy to settle in. The menu was short, but there was enough variety for both of us to find something we liked. Our dishes were tasty and well prepared. A nice choice for a casual lunch with good food and thoughtful service.

The setting is gorgeous, and both the food and service were wonderful.

2/10
The one bright spot was the service, which was good. The snails and prosciutto starters were nice, but the rest of the meal was a huge letdown. The rabbit, pork with truffle, and polenta with porcini were overcooked and tasted like they’d been seasoned with packet stock or supermarket gravy granules. The presentation was a zero, and the portions were tiny for the price. It was worse than a bad school canteen lunch. There are much better restaurants nearby, and I won’t be back.

There’s a river right beside the hotel, with mountain and castle views. The rooms are spacious, and the bathroom has plenty of counter space. Shops are just across the road, too. It’s in a beautiful area and a great place to stay.

We got there before opening, but they welcomed us in and poured local prosecco. Even once the place got extremely busy, the customer service stayed outstanding. Mattia, our waiter, also chose fantastic wines and gave us great food recommendations. What a find, highly recommend!
