Orsa Maggiore Hotel

The walk into town takes about 12 minutes, with a nice view of majestic Vulcano along the way. The staff were very kind, spoke English, and were always ready to help with questions. Service was good, the pool was well maintained and relaxing, and we even got a complimentary room upgrade when we arrived. A shuttle is available to and from the hotel on arrival and at checkout. A lovely find on the island. If you’re visiting Vulcano, I’d definitely recommend staying here!

We were welcomed with espresso and snacks, and our room by the pool was lovely. There was a mix-up with our rooms, but the staff fixed it straight away. Everyone was so friendly, especially Prashat. The set-menu food was very good. The room was beautiful, with a comfortable bed, a large bathroom, and plenty of space. I loved having the outdoor patio as a place to relax. A lovely place to stay on the island!

A calm, welcoming little hotel outside the busy port area of Vulcano. The rooms are tiny but really clean. I had a nice lunch by the pool, with a beautiful view of the volcanic mountains and palm trees. Just be ready for the rooster at 5 in the morning, reminding you that you’ve still got a few hours to sleep.

We loved our two-night stay. The room was lovely, the pool was amazing, breakfast was generous, and the staff were kind and professional. The owner gave us lots of ideas for things to do and even helped us get onto a boat tour we hadn’t managed to book ourselves. The hotel is about a 15-minute walk from the port, which is doable, and I’m pretty sure they can arrange transportation. Their restaurant offers a three-course menu in the evening and à la carte lunch. The only thing I’d change is having the option to eat lunch inside. It was a bit tough to have lunch by the pool in the heat. We can’t wait to come back!
