The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel

I was charged for a private suite but ended up in a standard double room. When I raised it, I was told suites didn’t have sofa beds, even though the hotel’s own online booking system showed that as an available feature. That felt misleading and unacceptable. I expected honesty and professional, compassionate service, but instead got rude treatment and information that didn’t match what was advertised. I stayed at Pegasus Hotel Jamaica with my two young children, ages 2 and 3, expecting a relaxing visit. From arrival, staff were shockingly dismissive and unprofessional. I also felt we were treated differently and discriminated against, which left me humiliated and uncomfortable. No mother traveling with small children should feel unwelcome or disrespected. I’m asking Pegasus Hotel management and the CEO to take immediate action. Guests deserve fairness, respect, and transparency. Until this is addressed, I can’t recommend Pegasus Hotel Jamaica to anyone looking for a comfortable, respectful stay.

My stay at The Jamaica Pegasus Hotel was from Thursday, October 30, 2025, to Saturday, November 1, 2025. My first contact was Shuwna at the front desk, and her rude, dismissive manner showed little acknowledgment or professionalism. It set a bad tone for a visit that should have been pleasant. Every guest deserves courtesy, respect, and attention, whatever their background or appearance. I recommend management review how frontline staff handle customer service and provide appropriate training and sensitivity so the hotel can uphold its standards.

The hotel, staff, and service are generally fine, and I’d give four stars if not for the Friday nights. I’ve stayed twice on a Friday in the last six months, and the otherwise pleasant pool and bar become unbearable because of the DJ’s terrible music at such extreme volume that people leave the bar or sit as far away as possible. Even then, you can’t hear the person beside you. Staff told me the DJ has a contract to play every Friday when I asked if he could turn it down. Maybe that’s the arrangement, but why does it have to be so loud? Management should address it, since paying this DJ seems to be costing them business. Any other night is probably fine, but don’t book a Friday unless you like music so loud you can’t talk.

The food was great, and everyone we dealt with was polite and helpful, from the security guards to the waiters and waitresses. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel.
