The service needs a lot of improvement. We reserved two rooms for seven nights and called several times, including through our concierge, to ask for a ground floor room. Still, our parents, who are over 70, were put on the third floor of a building with no elevator. It was such a struggle that they eventually had to be moved downstairs. Drinks we ordered with dinner never arrived, so we got them ourselves at the bar. They also brought the wrong meal, then removed the fish and put chicken on it instead of making a fresh dish, so it still smelled of fish. Pool and beach service was often very delayed, even though we had two butlers for our two rooms. With our Globalist status and stays at other places, this was a real letdown, and our status wasn't acknowledged. Kenniesha, who served us at dinner for the last four days, was phenomenal. The food overall wasn't anything to write home about.

Jason, my butler, checked on me every day, let me know about the menu, and made sure I had a hot bubble bath each night. He made me feel really special. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxing, though I didn't get to experience everything the resort offered. It was my first time staying here, on my second visit to Montego Bay this year, and I'll be back next year for my birthday.

Zoëtry is a quaint little resort, and the rooms are beautiful, in keeping with a 5 star rating. That's about where the good ends. The food was mediocre, with items missing from the menu at every meal, and drinks were missing too. I had just one spoon to stir my coffee all week. There were no bath mats, and the tiled floor was quite slippery. Only around 40'of us were at the resort, but the lack of food, drinks, and service came up in conversation again and again. Management offered dinner at another resort one night, but only to 16 of the 40 guests, so there were plenty of complaints. For 5 star prices, you expect 5 star food and service. The Greek salad was loaded with green olives, and there was imitation crab. It's a shame, because it's a beautiful boutique resort. Words barely do justice to my concerns, and many couples asked to move to another resort.

The room service was awful for everyone in our group. Nobody out of the seven of us received an order. Someone could ask for a basic pizza and still be waiting two hours later, or try for coffee and a pastry. The front desk just shrugged. Housekeeping made my bed one day but left no pillowcases or towels. When I reported it, they asked, “so what do you want?” I said pillowcases and towels, and three hours later someone arrived with wash cloths. This is a tiny “all inclusive” with basic amenities and service ranging from average to very poor. The food was basic and unpredictable, and took a long time to arrive. There's really only one restaurant; the other two are a shack and a lunch station. The menu there is basic, with no custom options, service is slow, orders are wrong, and servers often seem confused. The beach is tiny, and in the four days I was there, I didn't see anyone in the water. The small cove is separated from the main ocean beach by a sandbar, so the water isn't very clear or inviting. If you want a beach vacation, this isn't it. I can't recommend the property and am surprised it's under the Hyatt portfolio. I'm a World of Hyatt Explorist, which was never acknowledged, and got no extra perks or benefits. Late checkout was denied. The place has potential, but needs ownership and management who care and understand travelers' basic expectations for an all inclusive vacation resort.

The rum tasting was a highlight, with a staff member walking us through the differences between each rum, and the musicians at dinner were really talented. The resort itself was small, quiet, and had a tiny beach, which suited me. Our room was lovely and looked out over the ocean. Planes flew over often and were loud, though I only minded them on the first day before getting used to it. There were plenty of activities listed, but staff didn’t always turn up. I went to the pier for the advertised sunset yoga, got a mat from someone at the pool, then waited there alone past the start time and ended up doing stretches by myself. The staff were very friendly, and by the end of our stay my husband and I knew them and many of the other guests. I’d have given Zoetry Montego Bay Jamaica five stars if the service had been more consistent. One day our room wasn’t cleaned, and after cleaning on another day we had no towels or coffee mugs. Breakfast took over an hour in the dining room on two mornings. On the day we had to catch our flight, room service breakfast didn’t arrive until our butler checked with the kitchen. If you’re after a party atmosphere, this probably isn’t the resort for you.
