Ocean Palms Resort

The pool was great, and the location worked really well. Breakfast was good too, and everyone on staff was very friendly. Fantastic hotel. I hope I get to visit again someday. Best regards from Germany.

We stayed three nights in Ohio Rios for a wedding and had no problems. The place is cute, and the rooms and grounds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included, which made mornings easy. It was an “American breakfast” with eggs and pancakes, which we liked. The staff were friendly too. My husband, who's Jamaican, and I weren't keen on the restaurant dinner. Also, they don't clean the rooms every day. It was comfortable, but if you're after luxury, look elsewhere.

Hannah and Jon made our stay at Ocean Palms Hotel feel special. Hannah welcomed me at check-in, made sure I had what I needed, and knew a lot about the local food at the restaurant. Her dining and sightseeing suggestions were great. Jon was available whenever I needed help, from bringing extra towels to sharing tips on places to visit, and was consistently kind and professional. The hotel is also an easy walk from the beach and nearby attractions. I found the rooms spacious and well equipped, and the warm welcome started as soon as I arrived. It's a beautiful hotel, and I'd happily stay at Ocean Palms Hotel again. Huge thanks to Hannah and Jon!

Don't waste your money here. The bar area had roaches running around, and the place wasn't clean. It felt more like a very cheap motel than a resort. The pool is only 5 feet deep. There's one entrance, controlled by a desk person with a buzzer, so if they step away you have to wait to get back inside. There are no key cards. The location is in a ghetto area, the front floods when it rains, and there's no elevator. The manager said the elevator was out of service, and we had to struggle up the stairs with five suitcases. Security and service were both poor.
