A nice place to chill on the beach beds, or grab fish. I like stopping by Shortys. Their festival is really good, and the steamed fish is mouthwatering. 😋

There’s plenty to eat, and you can rent inner tubes and other things. The beach is lovely and mostly visited by locals. Since it’s away from the usual tourist spots, you’re less likely to be approached or bothered like at public beaches in the busier parts of the island. I’d definitely recommend it.
It’s free to get in and park, with plenty of large, informal parking areas. You can arrive by bus, taxi, or private car. Expect it to be busier on weekends and public holidays. It’s a public beach with good food, a nice atmosphere, and beautiful shoreline.
We took our time settling in before choosing a meal and picking the fish, crab, lobster, or whatever we wanted prepared. It was worth the wait. We visited on a Thursday for our anniversary, and the welcome from the staff felt sincere. Nobody hurried us, and they told us to make ourselves comfortable.
We tried Prendy's crayfish and conch, along with the fish soups, and the flavors were amazing. We also got steamed and fried fish with festivals and plantains from a vendor whose name I can't remember. The beach had a lively feel, and the quick escape was well worth it. A tip: choose your own fish, check the weighing, and do the math yourself. That helps keep everything straightforward.
