Mahmoud from Housekeeping was friendly and kind, and his professionalism really stood out. He cleaned the room carefully, paying close attention to detail, and made the experience better. People like Mahmoud help guests feel comfortable and valued. He's one of the reasons I'd love to come back to this hotel.

Mahmoud, the room service staff member and supervisor of the 5th floor, was the one bright spot in my ten days and nine nights at Ibis Amman. He was polite, professional, quick, detail-oriented, and clearly cared about guests' comfort. The location was also very good, close to most services and places. The rest of the experience was very negative, and I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it for a long visit. Maybe someone forced to stay one or two nights could manage, but for longer stays it's a bad choice. I had a one-bed room with a street view, booked and fully prepaid through a travel agency. Even so, I was charged an extra amount equal to a full night's stay, which the hotel called a tax because I hadn't booked directly with them. I found that unprofessional. At the start, they put me in a very small, unpleasant-smelling room on the first floor. After I complained, I was moved to a room directly facing other rooms, with no privacy if the curtains were open. That was unacceptable. The third room was better. There was no welcome or smile, and staff had a very poor attitude. It felt more like a confrontation than hospitality. The evening reception shift wasn't helpful either: any request got the answer, “Come back in the morning.” My room was handed over at 2:30 PM even though checkout is at 1:00 PM, with no flexibility or compensation. The neighbors left their door open until 2:00 AM, making constant noise and letting cigarette smoke through, and nobody took proper action. Breakfast was included, but restaurant staff seemed as if they were forced to work. They didn't greet or communicate, and when I asked for cold water, I was told, “We don’t have it now, wait.” Their behavior and movement were uncomfortable, and the food quality was below 5/10. Security was inconsistent too. Car checks seemed to depend on mood, and delivery cars were sometimes refused entry without a clear reason.

Tlaa Al-Ali is a great spot, with plenty of restaurants and convenient places nearby in Amman. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the room itself was in poor shape, with an old design that didn't seem renovated at all and an unpleasant smell. I wouldn't recommend it unless you're after a very budget-friendly option.

The hotel is in a perfect location, and the staff were very nice, including the receptionist. Mahmoud, the housekeeper on the fifth floor, was especially nice. My one complaint is that the furniture is a bit old, particularly the mattresses.
