The shared areas were clean and cleaned daily, and my sheets were freshly washed and smelled lovely. People leave their shoes at the entrance, which helps keep the dust down, and there are slippers to borrow. The women's bathroom has two toilets and three showers, with a request to keep showers short since you're in a desert. Lockers are available, and the common space has a small kitchen, a coffee area, seating, and a little balcony. Each dorm bed has a blackout curtain, a type G wall plug, and a small bag for essentials. The hostel sits in a busy part of Aqaba, so there's some outside noise, though shops and restaurants are all around. Guests are asked to observe quiet time at night. I don't know how it feels when the place is busier, but we had a very nice few days of diving there. It was almost empty during the 2026 Iran war ceasefire, and I had the whole ladies' dorm to myself. The owner was especially friendly, and clearly a keen traveller himself.
