Jamal rum camp

The camp is perfectly placed for great views at both sunrise and sunset, and the owners are cheerful, outgoing people who clearly love the work. We found it decently priced and the food was top level, especially the eggplant yoghurt, the best dish of the night. I highly recommend it. Jamal was the best. We asked for last-minute arrangements, and everything was sorted on the spot without any trouble. Same was a great help too, especially in the morning.

A peaceful, calm place with a lovely view and very friendly people. Sami, our desert guide, was wonderful, always smiling and happy to help. We strongly recommend staying here.

This is one of the better places to stay in Wadi Rum if you want a comfortable, reasonably priced desert visit and a view from a Bubble tent. It isn’t a super-luxury camp, so don’t expect a five-star property. I stayed in their luxury Bubble tent on 23rd December 2025. The room was satisfactory, with the needed amenities: a heater, hot water, a swing outside the tent, panoramic views, and the arrangements we needed. The location gets 4 out of 5 from me. It’s not as close to the road as some camps, but not deep in the desert either, about 15 minutes from the road and at the start of the desert. The people are amazing. The camp is run by members of one family, and they care about tourists and their reputation. I had a good chat with Jamal and his brothers. We joined their two-hour desert safari, which was quite good, with Jamal personally helping us on the trip. I wish they’d clearly explained what the two-hour and four-hour tours include: we missed the rock bridge and were later told it’s part of the four-hour trip, which we didn’t have time for. Food was okay, good but not great. The traditional zarb dinner only has chicken, no other meat. Don’t expect a luxury buffet for dinner or breakfast, as the choices are limited. We arrived at 1 pm and had to wait until dinner, so lunch options for guests arriving around lunchtime, or even quick snacks, would be much needed. I got the deal from my driver and guide, so I can’t confirm the price.

We slept in a spacious, comfortable bubble tent with a very comfortable bed and hot water. In the morning, they arranged a jeep tour for several hours through the desert, with a few surprises, including lunch out there. The camp staff were full of smiles, energy, and joy, and welcomed us like family. Dinner was delicious, prepared in traditional Bedouin style, with plenty of salads and tender, smoky-flavored meat. Jamal Rm was wonderful, such a friendly man. Definitely our favorite place to visit the Wadi Rum desert.
