Real Bedouin Experience Tours & Camp

Salem and Frances were lovely, thoughtful hosts who served delicious food and plenty of tea. We enjoyed a camel ride and a half-day tour, and only wished we could have stayed longer. The tents were quite comfortable, and the bathroom and shower facilities onsite were great. It's unbelievably beautiful here, especially at sunrise and sunset, and such a unique place.

I booked the overnight stay and jeep tour just two days ahead, and everything went smoothly. Salem, the owner of Real Bedouin Experience Tours & Camp, gave clear directions to the meeting point and picked me up right on time. At camp, I was greeted with fresh Bedouin tea. It's ideally placed for sunset, either from the camp or after a three-minute walk up the little hill behind it. Dinner came after sunset, delicious and cooked traditionally the Bedouin way. Later, we sat by the fire, drinking tea, sharing stories, singing, and laughing until bedtime. My sleeping tent had a comfortable bed and electricity. I got up in the middle of the night for the Milky Way and shooting stars, absolutely worth it. In the morning, we had a generous breakfast before setting off on a four-hour jeep tour through the beautiful protected area of Wadi Rum. It's hard to describe how astonishing it is. Salem showed me as much as possible and still found time for a Bedouin tea break. It was an experience of a lifetime, and I wish I'd stayed longer at Salems camp. Thank you, Salem!

I felt at home during my night at the Real Bedouin Experience camp. Salem Nasser Alzalabeah's warm welcome and company made it especially memorable, as did the camp's tidiness and its place amid the desert's wild beauty and silence. He made a delicious dinner in the traditional way, then shared fascinating stories about the customs and traditions of Bedouin tribes in Wadi Rum. I'd strongly recommend staying here and letting Salem guide you through this magnificent landscape. And if you visit him, ask for the Camel joke!

Salem shared his culture with us by the fire under the stars, Mutlok (sorry for the spelling) guided us up Umm Adaami and around Wadi Rum, and Mohammed treated us to delicious food. It was a fantastic experience in an amazing place. This family business offers an authentic stay and Bedouin hospitality. We highly recommend the real Bedouin experience tours and overnight stay.
