The covered walkway from Akita train station makes this a convenient choice, especially when arriving with luggage. You can enter from Level 2 beside Alive Theatre, and there are many restaurants nearby. The room is small, and slippers and pajamas aren’t supplied in it. Basic amenities include a toothbrush, shower cap, razor, facial cleanser and milk lotion. The shower pressure is good, and I liked having a mixer tap. Breakfast is simple but sufficient, with a takeaway box available for guests leaving early.

The hotel is in a really convenient spot, and breakfast was good. I was happy to find vegetarian options, since those can be rare.

The room was clean and had everything I needed, much like other Toyoko Inn rooms. The covered connection to JR Akita station came in handy during my winter visit.

The beds were hard as a rock and especially uncomfortable. Hard beds aren’t unusual in Japan, but these were worse than most. Breakfast was okay, nothing special, and the dining room was so small that I had to take my food back to my room. The location is the best part. The rooms are small, as is typical for a business hotel.

It’s easy to stay here beside Akita station. There’s a Family mart convenience store on the first floor, but it was missing almost everything, so I’d buy bath supplies elsewhere. T-points can be used here. Breakfast is rice balls and miso soup. It’s simple and easy to eat, and I was glad to have breakfast. If you found this helpful, please press 👍.
