The infinity onsen pool looking out over the Seto Sea was wonderful. Dinner was great too, with seasonal ingredients from the area.

I only went for the onsen. The open-air bath had a wonderful view. Entry costs 1200 yen, and towel rental is 400 yen. It's open from 11 am to 2:30 pm.

The rooms and outdoor hot springs both look out over the ocean, which made our stay really relaxing and refreshing. We were especially impressed by the staff's sincere, thoughtful service. We hadn't told the hotel when booking that some people in our group were vegetarian, but the kitchen still managed to prepare a wonderful vegetarian dinner for us at the last minute. Thanks to everyone for taking such good care of us!

Ako is known for making sea salt, a tradition said to go back 1,300 years. At this hot spring hotel, the fish and vegetables are cooked nicely with Ako salt.

We slept comfortably on futons, and opening the curtains in the morning revealed an incredible sunrise through the big windows. The onsen was a great experience and a perfect escape from busy Kyoto and Osaka over the New Year holiday. The salt sauna was a nice surprise, especially since this area is known for its prized salt. The omakase with steamed oysters was another distinctive touch from Aioi.
