The breakfast made mornings easy: brown sugar kinako toast with special yogurt and eggs. I found the serving a little small, so I ordered another slice of toast, but I liked not having to figure out breakfast after waking up. We stayed in December, and rain meant we couldn’t swim or sit out on the balcony. It made me want to come back in warmer weather. The sunset was beautiful, and the calm atmosphere made the stay really satisfying. We could hear the ocean throughout, which felt relaxing. The hotel had opened about five years ago, I was told, but it didn’t seem old. It felt modern, with stylish, comfortable interiors that made me imagine living in a house with the same feel. The decor and furniture were coordinated, and the details showed the owner’s taste. I’d definitely like to return when it’s warmer.

The room was spacious, cute, and very clean, with the owner’s good taste showing through. It had disposable chopsticks, mini spoons, plates, wine glasses, regular glasses, cups, a microwave, and a toaster. If you want a villa-style stay without spending as much, this could suit you. I booked online. The hotel is in the island’s northern resort area, so you really need a car, and the closest restaurant is a 20-minute walk. We were two women in a first-floor room. There were a couple of awkward things. The curtain between the bed, bath, and sink didn’t close properly. The first-floor shower is transparent, so there was a gap in the curtain and you could see everything while showering. It felt so uncomfortable. Also, the futon seemed small for a semi-double room. On our first trip, we tried to be considerate of each other and ended up sleeping mostly on the floor, lol.

The outdoor shower and a spot to hang clothes were perfect for my surf trip. I also loved sitting at the table by the entrance, eating breakfast while looking out at the ocean. The room was really nice. My one small wish for a stay of several nights would be a washing machine.

The ocean is right out front, so this is a great spot if you love the beach. We came in winter, and I’d love to stay again in summer. Our room at HOLLYCAMPCASA was clean, stylish, and comfortable. It was my first trip to Amami, and I’d been curious about staying here. I’ll definitely come back when I visit again. Breakfast toast and coffee were delicious, and I finished everything! 😋 I’m very sorry my son damaged some of the hotel equipment. The staff were kind to us and checked on his injuries, which I really appreciated. I’m truly sorry about the damage. 🙇 Thank you very much. ♪
