The view from our room was stunning, and the three-story historic building made a strong impression. My wife, our two sons, and I stayed for three nights. I'd booked a standard room, but they upgraded us to an entire executive floor without us asking and at no extra charge. Breakfast and dinner were included, and both were delicious. I also tried raw horse and deer meat sashimi for the first time. The owner couple served us with smiles throughout our stay. It was unforgettable for our family, and I'd definitely return if I get the chance to visit Nagano again.

Book ahead if you want to eat here, since there are only a limited number of spaces. Both dinner and breakfast were highlights, and the ryokan also has excellent service, rooms, and an onsen. It's traditionally decorated and lovely. I can definitely recommend it and would come back next time I'm in Nagano.

The building feels a bit dated and could use some maintenance, but the owners are so friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The food was carefully prepared and delicious, and the service was top-notch. Highly recommend 😊

The family who run this ryokan were incredibly nice and sent us off with so many gifts. They always did their best to speak English with us, too. The place has that traditional ryokan feeling I was hoping for. I'd highly recommend it!
