Asagiri Sanso Hibari

The staff's hospitality really made an impression on us. My friend and I were warmly welcomed, and the whole place has a cozy, wood-filled feel. We enjoyed the open-air bath, and later spotted a sky full of stars from our room balcony. Dinner was generous and delicious, more than enough to fill us up. It was our first time in Hitoyoshi, and we quickly grew fond of it. We'd love to come back and stay again.

On my third visit, I was glad to find a new dining area. Both dinner and breakfast were generous and wonderful. My daughter's birthday happened to fall during our stay, though I hadn't mentioned it, and they surprised us with a gift, which was so thoughtful. The inn is tucked deep in the mountains of Hitoyoshi, a lovely spot to enjoy nature. The landlady and everyone there were kind and courteous. I'll definitely stay here again.

We had the hot springs to ourselves, and the meal made with local ingredients was delicious. I came on a pilgrimage to the Natsume's Book of Friends holy land, and the owner, landlady, chef, and staff all welcomed us so warmly. It was a lovely trip and a chance to feel the kindness of the people of Asagiri Town. Our room's terrace was just right for an evening drink. ^ ^ I'd happily stay again. Thank you very much.

The meals were delicious and generous, with lots of sweetfish, and every staff member was very nice. I stayed with my parents at the end of the year in the largest room. Its high ceiling and huge balcony made it feel wonderfully open. Even in winter, the room got almost too hot with just the air conditioning on.
