The living room felt really cozy, and having a kitchen to use was handy. The whole place was spotless, and the hut warmed up nicely each time, so it was comfortable. I spent a week here with my sister. The owner was incredibly helpful and gave us lots of recommendations for the area. It’s a beautiful place, and I’d definitely return if I’m back in Japan. :)

The breakfast the owner's wife made was a real highlight. It left us happy first thing in the morning, and we even found ourselves wishing we could live in a house like this. We came for one night with my son and some friends from Hokkaido, and had a generous Genghis Khan meal around the campfire for dinner. We were in the "Forest" room, with its toilet, mini sink, and loft. The wood scent as we came in was soothing, and the thoughtful details made the place feel so cozy. They'd made a comfortable, safe space for us as a family, and we were grateful. We'd love to come again next year.

My son is mad about trains, so seeing the steam locomotives from the guesthouse made him so happy. We also really appreciated the souvenirs. It's stayed in my mind even some time after the visit, and we'd definitely like to come back. We were there in late July, two adults and our three-year-old. I was a little anxious about staying in a guesthouse with a young child, but they had a high chair in the common building even though we hadn't asked for one. The place has lots of lovely touches for people traveling around Hokkaido, and the owner's taste comes through. The room felt new and clean, the beds were soft and plush, and the amenities were well equipped. We had a very comfortable stay.

We found the Japanese breakfast authentic and delicious, and the owners were thoughtful and ready to talk through any travel problems with us. The only mystery was the fruit in my morning juice. We couldn't work it out with translation software, maybe because its Japanese name differs from the Chinese one, haha. My friend and I came from China and stayed two nights. The hotel is in a quiet town, and the young couple who own it were helpful. Our room was very clean and tidy. There wasn't a private bathroom, but the shared one was clean too.

The owner and I had a fun chat, which became another nice trip memory. It was hot in the daytime, but the nights were cool and comfortable, just as you'd expect in Hokkaido. There's a fridge and toaster, so you can make simple meals.
