We came as a group of eight and had a great time taking in the amazing views. Everyone was excited to watch the fireworks. The facilities, advance booking arrangements, and customer service were all very courteous, and we’d love to come back.

The view from our window was amazing, since the place is high up in the mountains. But several stink bugs got in through the slightly open toilet window. Even with a screen, they can slip through the gaps, so spraying the window frame might help. The cockroaches getting inside were a much bigger problem, though.

We wanted a place in Atami where I could mix a trip with work, and the nationwide travel support program happened to start just in time. I rented iHouse for three nights. The spacious living room was great for working after breakfast, and the underfloor heating was a lifesaver because it was colder than I expected. My wife loved reading in the massage chair. In the mornings I enjoyed reading in the balcony hammock, and the balcony’s ocean view was a highlight. The bathroom was especially fantastic, and I enjoyed long soaks morning and evening. It was too late in the season to make full use of the balcony, and I gave up trying to work on my PC out there. Mid-October in Atami was much colder than I’d expected, so I wish we’d come a month earlier. Also, being in a mountain villa, going to the toilet at night felt a little scary. There are only mountain roads and villas nearby, so you’ll need to go down the mountain for supplies. MaxValu Atami Taga store is handy for groceries. I think this vacation home would suit anyone wanting to get away from daily routine and relax with family.

The staff were so kind from the time I made the reservation, and when I checked in they’d even prepared a chocolate gift for my birthday. It really touched me. Thanks again!
