Guestroom Garden Azumino

The lobby even has a grand piano guests can play, and there's a hot spring too. Our room was clean and really comfortable, and the staff were lovely. You can cook your own food here if you want.

It was peaceful enough that I could properly unwind, and I could hear birds outside, though passing cars are audible since the hotel is beside the road. The building is old, but it's been kept up well, and my room was comfortable and roomy. I only booked breakfast this time, and it was delicious and nicely presented. Now I wish I'd had dinner there too. It never seemed too busy, which helped me relax. The TV is pretty small, so that might be a drawback for some people, but it was fine for me. It's a bit far from Hotaka Station, although being right by a main road makes the hotel easy to find. (๑´v`๑)

I've visited Azumino every month for 17 years, but this was my first stay at this inn, and I'd like to come back. The receptionist was very kind, and the Japanese-Western room fit four people comfortably. Having a private bathroom was a plus. The lobby and rooms have a relaxing Showa-era feel, and the hot spring was soothing. The gravel parking lot is a little small, the open-air bath wasn't available, and the sink drain was somewhat clogged. Those were my three points to note, but I found it to be a great inn overall. Azumino is known for its wasabi, oyaki (stuffed dumplings), water, and air.

I stayed overnight without meals. The place felt a bit too big for just me, but I enjoyed the bath and got to see the precious piano. It was snowing as I slept, and in the morning I found the car's wipers already on. Thanks for looking out for me m(_ _)m. Hope to see you again! ☆
