The meals were a real highlight, especially the delicious wagyu beef, and the staff made us feel welcome. We first stayed here nine years ago, and this was our second visit. The room was spacious, and the onsen is still beautiful, with high-concentration carbonated and natural hot spring baths, a jacuzzi, and an outdoor bath. The town is quiet and feels less touristy. Thanks for the great service. We’ll definitely come back.

The hotel sits in a lovely, peaceful forest, and the first-floor onsen has a calm view of the trees. One thing to know is that most rooms have a toilet and sink but no shower. There are gifts, food, and crafts for sale in the lobby. Street shoes stay in a separate room and aren’t allowed inside, so you may want to bring your own indoor slippers and yukata.

A beautiful hot spring in a lovely setting, and day entry is great value at 500 yen. Bring cash, though, because their digital payment system isn’t working.

For just ¥500, this is a lovely onsen with an outdoor bath and sauna. Check the business hours, as they changed due to COVID: last orders are at 7:30, bath entry ends at 8:30, and the facility closes at 9.

Each room’s private onsen has both an indoor and an outdoor bath, which is quite rare. The bath was spacious, and the water was around 42°C. Shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were provided.
