Mini Chula Inn

The location was excellent, close to the beach and good for sunsets and morning walks. There were also lots of international restaurants within walking distance. It was a letdown given how good the area was. At check-in time, cleaning and preparation still weren’t finished. I thought, “Oh well,” but soon noticed hair and dust on the floor, plus what looked like baby insects on the table. The kitchen had a four-burner gas stove and what seemed to be a gas oven underneath. When I opened the oven, it had lots of food scraps inside. There wasn’t much workspace, so I eventually decided not to cook or eat there. The bathroom was small, but seemed recently retiled and was spotless. My young child loved the loft. The bedroom came down to personal preference, but didn’t impress me. The washing machine faucet was shut off. I think it should have been left open for use. I thought I’d started the washing machine before leaving, but the closed faucet meant my laundry didn’t get done. The shoe rack just inside on the left was loosely secured and needs to be fixed properly. My child, who is almost three, tipped it over and was crushed underneath, crying loudly. The place was dirty, with trash, dust, and mold in the kitchen and windows. I think they should hire a professional cleaning service regularly. We had a one-year-old staying with us, and pest control traps like Black Cap were everywhere. He kept chewing on them, which made things very difficult. That might be one thing in my own home, but it’s strange to have Black Cap traps lying around when we paid a normal price for the service. They should hire professional pest control. Professionals have commercial machines that spray a mild pesticide once a day, so I recommend using a service.
