The top-floor spa was nice, and the older receptionist spoke perfect English. Those are the reasons I’m giving this three stars instead of one. I’d asked the third-party booking site for a non-smoking room, but was given a smoking one, and the whole floor smelled so bad that I left before my reservation ended. The room was tiny and very old, like in many Japanese hotels, and the price felt far too high for what you get.

Our room was old and worn, and the cigarette smell was strong. The hotel hadn’t specified what kind of room we’d get, so we ended up in a smoking room. When we asked to switch to non-smoking, the extra cost was unreasonably high. There was only a heater, no air conditioning, which made the room feel even stuffier with that smell. I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

I spent three nights here, on July 7, 8, and 9, 2025, and had a nice experience. The rooms are spacious, the service is excellent, and the hotel is near the highway. One suggestion for breakfast: it would be nice to have more vegetarian choices.

We picked this hotel as a stop while visiting nearby Narai-juku, which is only a short drive away. There’s plenty of parking, plus a Lawson's and restaurants close by. The rooms are on the small side but have what you need, and breakfast was simple yet enough to get the day started. The staff were friendly, spoke English, and helped us talk through restaurant options nearby.
