Minn Chitose

We stayed just one night, the day we landed, since our flight arrived very late. The location near the airport worked great. The room was huge, with a small kitchen, but there wasn't a Western bed. It felt more like a ryokan, with mattresses on the floor. We'd come back if we had an early flight or a late arrival.

The location makes daily errands easy, with supermarkets and lots of places to eat just a short walk away. We've stayed at Minn Chitose more than three times over the years, and it keeps feeling like coming home whenever we visit Hokkaido. The rooms are always clean and spacious, with a thoughtful layout. Having a fully equipped kitchen is especially handy for longer stays, families, or anyone who wants extra space and practical comforts. The place is relaxing and home-like, and the value is excellent, so we keep choosing it. My small complaints are dusty windows and no blackout curtains. In early summer, the sunrise might bother light sleepers. Otherwise, we're always happy to return.

Check-in and check-out were easy, and the building was clean. It's right beside the big car rental companies, and you can drive to Sapporo easily, with other places about an hour away in any direction. Make sure your flight times work with the airport shuttle. I wish the beds were softer, though that's Japan in general. I'll stay here again.

We were placed in the middle building, block B, out of the three blocks. Check-in was very easy, with verification by video call with hotel staff. Our unit had two rooms, each with two queen-sized beds. One room had an ensuite shower, and there was also a separate bathroom with a tub near the kitchen. The washing room and toilet were separate spaces with doors, which was convenient. The kitchen came with a countertop, kettle, microwave, and grill, plus cutlery, plates, a pot, frying pan, and rice cooker. There's a convenience store across the junction, about a three-minute walk away. Great value for money.
