Getting around was easy from here: the train station is close, and it also worked well as a base for Camp Zama and nearby Tokyo-area drives. The rate was good, especially with the "hometown sports package," which included a full breakfast and other extras. Parking was a reasonable 1,000 yen per night, and skipping room cleaning earned the equivalent of two drinks per night, alcoholic or non-alcoholic. The rooms are small by Western standards, so I wouldn't put more than two people in a two-double room unless the kids are very small.

There are two shopping malls nearby, and Ebina central station is only about a two-minute walk away. The price was reasonable, the service was great, and I found the hot springs useful. Breakfast is worth trying too, with a good range of Japanese dishes.

The check-in staff weren't helpful or friendly, and they tried to collect extra charges even though I showed them the confirmation number. The room was cramped, with no space for our luggage, despite being listed as 21 square feet for twin beds. I booked through Agoda and was disappointed to find the hotel so close to the railway tracks. The noise made it hard to sleep at night. If you're driving, parking costs 1,000 yen a night, so remember to add that to the room cost.

Right in the middle of Ebina, by the train station. That made getting around Japan's complicated train and transport network easy for guests.
