Enoshima Living -Hostel

The room had a Bluetooth speaker and a refrigerator, and the tour of the facility beforehand made it easy to understand how everything worked. I went with my boyfriend, who hadn't experienced Totonoi before. Finding the place tucked deep inside Enoshima, among a row of homes, really surprised me. Lol The groundwater cold bath changes temperature with the seasons. It felt a little warm at this time of year, which my boyfriend seemed to enjoy. Next time I'd like to try the single cold bath in winter. The sauna seemed lukewarm at first, then gradually heated up, and by our third set we were in Totonoi. 🤤 It was such a comfortable private sauna that 120 minutes didn't feel like enough. ✨

The staff were friendly, and I had a wonderful time relaxing in a private room. I think first-time sauna users could enjoy it too. I'd love to come back with friends!

My first private sauna visit, even though I've been to Enoshima many times. This time I went to the part deep inside the island, among what looks like a residential area. It seems to be a renovated old house, and the inside was very clean. The location could be confusing for a first-time visitor. The sauna wasn't extremely hot, but the temperature was decent. Since it was summer, the cold plunge felt a little lukewarm. The indoor relaxation area had a reclining chair, air conditioning, a refrigerator, incense, and a Bluetooth speaker. The website said you could go outside, but staff said they didn't recommend it in summer because of mosquitoes, so there was practically no outdoor area to use. A couple of things were inconvenient. You have to take a few steps from the sauna to the cold plunge, but staff said not to walk there while wet because the floor could rot. There was a plastic bath mat in the shower room, but none by the plunge, so I had to dry my feet with my own towel each time. A larger, towel-like mat would have helped. There was no lock on the private room or security box. Since the room is private, there aren't other customers during your session, but staff are around. You can leave your things in the relaxation area, but valuables have to go there too. There's a window in the sauna, and if you're showering at the back, the entrance door is unlocked and anyone could come in. I was worried about my valuables. If these two issues were fixed, I'd like to visit again.

The owner was so friendly, and everything was clean. We had the sauna to ourselves for two hours, which was fantastic. The heat felt just right and warmed me through, with self-loyly available to adjust it. I also loved being able to immerse my whole body in the cold water bath, which was set in a drum. During the indoor air bath, I nearly nodded off in the infinity chair. I think I'll stay overnight next time!
