Hotel Hana Isawa

We were four people and arrived with almost no notice, but they found us a pretty big room that fit everyone. The futon beds were super comfortable. We didn’t eat there, but booking a private bath was easy, and we had it to ourselves for 45 minutes free of charge. The staff were super friendly, and there’s a shuttle bus to IsawaOnsen station. Highly recommended!

The rooms were comfortable and always clean, which suited us since we were out and about most of the time. Staff greeted us whenever we came and went. They also arranged a taxi that arrived straight away. It’s good to have a motel by the train station.

During our tour visit on 12th Dec 2019, one room assigned to a member of our group reeked of cigarette smoke. We asked to switch rooms, but they refused, saying the housemaid had gone for the day and nobody was available to prepare another room. Worse, one guest woke from bites and found a lot of huge bed bugs on the mattress. Please avoid this place.

It’s about a five minute walk from the station, and the front desk gave us good service. The hotel is a little old, but it was good enough for a relaxing holiday.
