HaoSTAY

The rooms were a good size for Japan, with beds in a western-style area and a large tatami floor section that our family made great use of. We had lovely views of Mt. Fuji san and the lake. The watermelon rooms looked amazing, though we didn't stay in one. Breakfast was really good, especially the soft bread sandwiches with egg and vegetables. The service and staff were top marks. I'd absolutely recommend staying near the lake to enjoy the views.

The free shuttle to Kawaguchiko Station was a huge help, since public transport around here is limited. Our stay at Haostay Kawaguchiko was memorable, and the staff were exceptionally kind. We had booked a regular room but were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade to a cute watermelon-shaped villa. Check-in wasn't open when we arrived, so we left our luggage at reception and went exploring. The staff patiently pointed out nearby places to visit. When we came back, the room was ready, and stepping inside was a real treat. We'd never stayed anywhere like it. It was a little echoey, but comfortable, and we slept well. There are useful facilities like coin laundry, vending machines, and a rooftop terrace. On a clear day, you can see Mount Fuji's peak from up there, but we had rain and clouds during our stay. Breakfast came as a set menu rather than a buffet, which makes sense for a small to medium-sized hotel. We'd definitely consider staying at Haostay Kawaguchiko again on another Mount Fuji trip.

We had a lovely one-night stay here as a family of four. The rooms were clean and spacious, with a mini fridge, TV, and lots of charging ports. The staff were kind and helpful, and breakfast was tasty and healthy. The rooftop is beautiful at sunrise and sunset, with the best Mount Fuji views in town.

The rooftop terrace was the highlight for me. On clear winter nights, it gives you an open view of Mt. Fuji that's wonderful for photos. Seeing the stars and the snow-covered peak during the Blue Hour is something I'll remember for a long time. The service at HAOSTAY was great too. The staff were welcoming and really made an effort to make our trip special. If you want friendly hospitality and great views, this is a lovely choice. Highly recommended.
