Kawaguchi-ko Hotel

The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel is in a handy spot, walking distance from plenty of restaurants and close to bus stops for getting farther afield. There's also a coin laundry room. I had a lovely stay at Kawaguchiko Hotel. It's beautiful, and the staff were so friendly and helpful, welcoming us each time we came back through the doors.

The bathhouse on the top floor is amazing, and the views are awesome. Staff were great, and there's a nice little gym. I loved this old hotel. My Japanese twin room felt brand new and so fancy, I felt spoiled. They also have free coffee in the lobby in the mornings. I'll stay here again.

Being right next to beautiful Lake Kawaguchi made the stay special, and our room had a stunning view of Mount Fuji that I'll remember. The hotel has an old-era charm, but still gave us all the comforts we needed. The onsen were very clean and the facilities excellent, just right for unwinding after a day out exploring. Staff were friendly and helpful too. We really enjoyed the amenities and scenery, and the hotel was exactly what we needed while staying in the area. Highly recommended.

Breakfast was a real feast, with lovely ladies helping us through the traditional Japanese meal cooked at the table. The observation tower gives great views all around, including magnificent Mt Fuji, and the Onsen has lovely views too, a wonderful place to unwind. The hotel itself is charming, with a real sense of history and elegance. The entrance has reception and a small, cosy seating area with a log-burning fire. There's another comfortable spot for coffee, plus a library to wander around. It feels like stepping back in time, and the staff are absolutely lovely, always keen to help.
