The staff did a great job explaining what to do around Kawaguchiko and went above and beyond. The villa was fantastic, with cozy rooms, comfortable space, and enough heat. The dining area has lots of seating, for eight people. I highly recommend it and will definitely come back when I'm in Kwaguchiko!

The public bath was a wonderful bonus, with a magnificent view. The staff were polite and very accommodating, and Mt. Fuji is right outside the villa. My family of six stayed one night at Lake Villa Kawaguchiko and had an amazing time. The villa was clean and had everything we needed, from the kitchen to the bathroom. We felt at home, even for just one night. Highly recommended!

I really liked how calm it was to spend time petting all the friendly cats. A breakfast food truck right by the villas also makes tasty sandwiches with locally grown vegetables. Hiro welcomed me warmly and gave great suggestions for activities and places to take good Mt. Fuji photos. I followed his recommendation to visit the Itchiku Kubota Art Museum and really enjoyed it, and I liked one of the nearby hoto noodle restaurants he suggested too. I stayed in a villa during the Fujikawaguchiko Autumn Leaves Festival and felt safe and comfortable. The price was very reasonable, and the view of Mt. Fuji was amazing. It's a very short walk to the food stalls, craft fair, and Momiji Corridor. After a busy few days, the cats were especially calming. I'd definitely recommend this place to families and solo travelers.

Koki gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home. Even though we arrived late at night, he immediately brought out a trolley to help move our luggage into the accommodation. He also pointed out places to visit and recommended restaurants and other attractions, which we really appreciated. My wife and I stayed at Lake Villa for one night on our Mt. Fuji trip. We had a great time, with a lovely view of Mt. Fuji just outside the village. It’s a good way to experience Japanese living style as an alternative to a hotel. The village has an onsen where you can see Mt. Fuji through the window. The accommodation was clean and tidy, with heating and cooling, plus floor heating that would be especially good in winter. In my opinion, Lake Villa deserves at least a 3-star rating, and we'll definitely stay here again when we return to Mt. Fuji. Thank you for your kind hospitality. 😊

Our daughters especially enjoyed spending time with the villa’s cats, and the staff, Mr. Hiro and his family, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They gave us local and dining tips and advice on avoiding peak hours at attractions. The breakfast truck outside served delicious soft, fluffy buns with burgers and veggie options. You can also order outside food for delivery. Reception closes at 10 PM, and a shuttle to Kawaguchiko train station is available on request if you book ahead. The villa is clean and fits eight guests comfortably, with five futons and three beds. It has heaters, toothbrushes, a hair dryer, two toilets, one shower, and a well-equipped kitchen with hot and cold fresh spring tap water, a stove, fish grill, oven, microwave, fridge, utensils, and cutlery. Please put waste in the proper bins. The onsen is small, offers a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji, and wasn't crowded during our three-day stay. Not every villa has a direct view, but the mountain is just steps away, and of course visibility depends on the weather. The location was great for a short brisk walk to the lake to see Mt. Fuji reflected in the morning, and for stargazing at night. A mart is 200 m away, with shops and restaurants within 2 km. A rental car made getting around easy. Toyota rental service is near Lake Kawaguchiko train station, and Mr. Hiro also gave helpful recommendations. At check-in, we got a folder with villa information and nearby attractions, plus a QR code to check live Mt. Fuji visibility and decide whether to get up early for the reflection or sleep in. We had an unforgettable stay and will definitely return. Thank you, Mr. Hiro and family!
