The host was friendly, and the private onsen was the best we visited. It even had the wooden bucket and stool, which we hadn’t seen at the others. The pension is quite remote, with no restaurants or shops within an easy walk, and only basic meals are available. The rooms are all the same size, so four people felt cramped. They also lacked the usual convenient furnishings, with only a mini fridge and coat hangers.

The inn had a lot of charm, and the onsen was sometimes available even for just one person. I spent a few nights there and won’t forget the experience. The owner and his son were extremely kind and attentive. I’ll come back.

I really liked the place, though I wish I could have stayed longer. I arrived very late in the evening and was welcomed so warmly. I’d definitely stay again when I can.

The onsen and rotenburo were really nice. The place itself is fine if you can't find another option, but it costs a lot for how little you get.
