Oike Park is just across the road, and the hotel is next to Kawaguchiko Mosque, which has a halal café. Kawaguchiko Station is around a 15-20 minute walk away, though the hotel offers scheduled pick-up and drop-off if you let them know ahead of time. We had two single beds plus a tatami area, so there was loads of room. A fridge, TV, extra pillows, and Japanese-style futon mattresses were provided. The hotel is a little old, but still comfortable. There’s a private onsen for guests, bikes to rent for about ¥500 an hour, and a paid washing machine on the second floor. I forgot to take photos of the room, sorry!

The large parking area was a real help since we were driving, and there’s also a tourist bus stop nearby for getting around without a car. From here, Ubuyagasaki is less than 1 km away across Kawaguchiko-Ohashi Bridge, a lovely walk for a less crowded view of Mount Fuji. We were comfortable at Shiki no Yado Fujisan. Our room had two single beds and a tatami area, with plenty of space to relax. It’s close to Lake Kawaguchiko, Oike Park, and Kawaguchiko Masjid, so the setting is peaceful but convenient for visiting nearby spots. I’d recommend staying at least a night.

The staff were really kind and greeted people properly whenever they came in or went out. The hotel has useful facilities, including a shuttle bus and an onsen. Our room was huge, and they provided bottled water and a yukata set for each guest. The Mount Fuji view made the stay amazing. A great place to stay when visiting Japan.

The main draws are the Mount Fuji view and the price. It’s about a 15-minute walk to anything. The room was large, but dirty, with stains on the walls and ceiling, and it felt dated, musty, and a bit smelly. There was a gold tub and not many power outlets. The Western beds were rock hard. The wired Georgian glass was always in the way of the otherwise amazing Fuji view. The onsen is separated by gender, with no private option for couples. They did provide extra pillowcases when I asked.

We could see Mt. Fuji right through our room window. The room was roomy and comfortable for four people, and the hotel was close to the lake and not too far from a convenience store.
