A good place to stay.

We were six adults and booked through booking.com several months ahead. The cottage is close to the lake and ropeway, though the train station is a longer walk. We also walked to the large grocery store, Ogino, I think that was the name, and cooked in the kitchen. The place was spotless, and there was hand soap at each sink. The beds were firm. The one shower had a sunken metal tub, rather than the hot tub we'd expected. We managed with the small table, but it meant sitting on the floor. A regular table and chairs would have been better. It also would've felt more welcoming to have a bath towel and hand towel on each bed, and helped us keep track of whose towel was whose. Two folding chairs with collapsible backs weren't enough seating for six, and one of them didn't work properly. Would we come back? Yes. Recommend it? Yes.

This place can sleep up to 12, with three Western-style rooms and one Japanese-style one. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the air conditioning is powerful. There's a washing machine and a place to dry clothes, and the bathroom has a bathtub. The kitchenware and tableware selection is broad, so it's well suited to cooking for yourself. There's a supermarket across from the B&B, private parking for people driving, and attractions are conveniently located.

Good for a group getaway, with a clean place and a full kitchen setup plus other amenities. It's between Mount Fuji and the lake, both a short walk away, and there's a 24-hour convenience store nearby.
