Fuji AK Vacation Rental

The bedroom window gave us a stunning view of Mt. Fuji on clear mornings. The rental was clean and supplied with what we needed: slippers, extra towels, a stocked kitchen, laundry and dryer with detergent, and wifi. Check-in and checkout were simple, the instructions were clear, and the owner replied quickly on the Booking app and gave us a phone number for emergencies. We had no problems during the stay. It’s close to Chureito Pagoda, Gekkou Station, Honcho street, and nearby restaurants. Though the house is right by the railway, the incoming-train alarm was barely noticeable and didn’t disturb our sleep. Outdoor grill and bicycle rental were available for an extra fee. The cold inside was the main issue. Even in March, the stairwell was freezing despite heaters running on every floor. Since the bedrooms and kitchen were on different levels, going up and down the steep, cold stairs was uncomfortable. We kept the staircase doors closed and all the heaters on to keep the floors warm; it would’ve helped if the owner had preheated the place before we arrived. Also, the listing said an outdoor grill was available, but the rule book said it couldn’t be used in cold seasons and that there was a fee. Neither detail was mentioned on the Booking listing. The kitchen was full-sized, but we couldn’t find a coffee maker, teapot, or cooking oil, all of which would’ve been useful.

The host was quick to reply and kindly let us use Netflix for free on the projector. We had a beautiful stay, with great views, a comfortable place, and a perfect location. No complaints at all. I’d recommend it if you’re staying in Fujiyoshida. 10/10!

The views from inside the Airbnb were worth it, and being able to spot Mt. Fuji from comfortable places in the house made the stay feel special. The bedrooms were lovely, with fluffy blankets that kept us warm. The big, modern stainless-steel kitchen looked sleek, and we enjoyed watching things on the living-room projector with the free accounts. The bathrooms were nice, too, and everything was spotless. There’s plenty to do within walking distance, including a nearby halal/veggie restaurant that was a lifesaver for us. The host was friendly, checked in on us, and replied quickly, even when I messaged at night. Such a memorable experience. Thank you!

We felt lucky to have this peaceful apartment to ourselves, especially with how crowded Chureito Pagoda was and parking there costing 10,000-15,000 yen. We could take our time with photos and parking here, and walk back to use the apartment bathroom before heading elsewhere. The trade-off is climbing some stairs, but for a Mount Fuji visit, it was worth it. Netflix was provided, which the kids enjoyed. Also try barnum crepe (instagram) and the tea specialty shop. We chose the rental for its 400-meter distance from arakuyamaya sengen park, an easy walk of under 10 minutes with our two young kids. It’s the whole building, with a garage for two cars on level one. Level two has two bedrooms, a large bathroom and toilet, and a full view of Mount Fuji and the trains. There are four queen beds and two single bunk beds. On level three, the living room looks straight toward Mount Fuji, so you can eat without crowds around you. The full steel kitchen has pots, pans, dishes, and a dishwasher, but bring your own condiments. There’s also a toilet and shower on that level. The rooftop has an open-air 360-degree view, and it was lovely to sit in the cold and sunshine. At night, the lighting made it romantic. A Weber BBQ pit is provided.
