Fuji Premium Hotel

The hotel was very good in general, but the front desk worker on shift from 2026 Jan 16-17 was the standout. She was a Vietnamese girl and incredibly caring when I got sick the night after checking in. She came by several times with water and extra blankets, helped us work through possible options, and gave me her phone number in case of an emergency. Her kindness helped me get through a 39C fever. I’ll always be grateful to her.

The staff were pleasant, and there’s a public onsen, though I didn’t get a chance to visit it, so I can’t comment on that. Half the rooms have a direct view of Mount Fuji. You’ll need your own transport, but being near the toll road is convenient. The hotel is listed as four stars on booking sites, but the condition felt more like it might have been 20 years ago. The property seemed dated throughout, with no recent renovations apparent. We noticed mold in the bathroom, marked walls, and poor sound insulation. It seems to cater mainly to tour groups. The lower price than other hotels nearby could suit someone on a strict budget, but I’d still consider spending another 50 euros for a more comfortable stay.

The staff made our honeymoon feel special from the start, with so much warmth and care throughout our stay. We arrived to a handwritten note, roses, and a bottle of wine in the room, and the view of Mount Fuji from our window was incredible. We spent a lot of time getting around on the free bikes, which became one of our favorite parts of the trip. The shuttle made it easy to reach town, and taking the bus was simple too, despite the hotel being a little outside town. Breakfast was generous, with lots of delicious choices served thoughtfully. We also loved unwinding in the peaceful onsen, where everything we needed was provided. Fuji Premium Hotel exceeded our expectations, and we’d love to come back.

Waking up to Mount Fuji from the window was fantastic. We made great use of the free bikes to explore nearby towns, and breakfast was included and really nice. The hot pool was great too. We had an amazing stay.
