The Road To Mt.Fuji

It’s a pet-friendly hotel, but there weren’t any pet amenities, not even one toilet sheet. The shower area was small, the heater on the air conditioner didn’t work well, and there were no cleaning supplies such as a vacuum cleaner. A doormat at the entrance would help too. Luckily, it wasn’t raining while we were there. I hope they improve the room. The location is excellent, very close to the station, and you can see Mount Fuji.

The living room AC didn’t work well, and the small gas heater in the cold tatami room couldn’t warm it up. We were there on January 1, 2024, in winter, and it was much too cold. The shower room was tiny, and there was no vacuum cleaner. For the price, the service and amenities were very poor, and it wasn’t worth the money. It felt like an old shop turned into a staycation place, and we won’t be back. There were too many requirements before arrival, including sending IDs and pets’ vaccine records. They charged 5,000 yen for bringing pets but provided not a single pet amenity.

I could see Mount Fuji as soon as I stepped out the front door, and there’s a lovely little park right across the street for a walk or a break from the big city. The room and its location made me very happy. The hotel was very clean, and the kitchen had everything I needed. They also let you try on the helmet, which was a lot of fun for photos. I spent two weeks in Japan and stayed at several hotels. This was honestly one of the best, and I’d stay here again without hesitation.

The location was good, but the stay didn’t feel worth the price, even for one night. It seemed like a shop converted only partway into a staycation place. The room was spacious, though there weren’t many heating appliances and it was very cold. There was a secret door beside the bed, and with the curtains open, people outside could see into the room. The shower room was small, while the toilet was spacious.
