We didn't use many of the facilities, so I can't really comment on them. The staff could manage basic English, and Google Translate would be useful if you need more help. Our suitcase, sent from Hokkaido by Yamato, got held up in Tokyo for a few days according to the Apple AirTag. The hotel did a great job calling to check on it, but couldn't accept it and send it overseas after we checked out and left Japan, because Yamato only allows international shipping for leftover items, not a whole suitcase. The location was good, with eateries and shopping nearby, street food just across the road, and Tenjin station about a 5-10 minute walk away. The double room was cramped: you could open two 28-inch suitcases, but then there was no room to walk. There was no USB charging outlet, and the door still used a traditional manual key instead of an electronic card.

Lots of little restaurants sit in the quiet nearby alleys, and the location is good. The service was good too. The room was alright, though the sheets weren't very soft, which is okay for a three-star place. The air conditioning seemed a bit wonky.

It was a good stay overall, though the hotel isn't directly above the MTR and takes about 10-15 minutes to reach on foot. The toilet was a real problem: it smelled bad, and the bidet spray was extremely hot, nearly burning me.

The bed felt a little soft, but I was still comfortable. It's in a great spot near all the shopping in Tenji. On the first night, after my shower, I stepped on the previous guest's fake eyelashes. After that, I didn't go barefoot again.

We won't stay here again. We asked for a full room cleaning, but they only replaced the towels, emptied the trash, and turned on the TV. They left the bed as it was. There are no “DO NOT DISTURB” or “CLEAN UP THE ROOM” signs, and each morning around 10-11 a service worker would wake us by knocking VERY loudly. They had no service at all, in my view. We have stayed at Candeo hotels around Japan many times, and this Fukuoka one was the worst. The room was tiny, and we couldn't figure out where to put our luggage. The TV was mounted so awkwardly that you could only watch it with your right eye. The window was very small, and even closed, we could clearly hear the street. There was no bottled water in the room, and the hairdryer had yellowed with age. Awful, really.
