The apartment was roomy, clean, and easy to settle into, with a convenience store right beside it. Check-in and check-out were straightforward, and we were comfortable throughout our stay. We especially appreciated how quickly and kindly the staff helped after we accidentally left something behind. They arranged to send it to our family in Tokyo.

The bed was comfortable, and the quiet location has convenience stores nearby. The room feels like an apartment and has a washing machine, microwave, and fridge, so it should work well for a longer stay in Fukuoka. I’d come back, though I wish they provided roomwear. Check-in was self-service, but we still had to video call staff. That was a bit of a hassle, and having someone there in person would have been better.

We stayed in room 102, the DX Triple Room on the first floor. I occasionally heard people at the elevator and guests checking in or out, but hardly any traffic noise from the street. I never heard anything from upstairs, though I’m not sure whether anyone was staying there. The beds felt just right, the AC handled the relatively warm November days well, and the medium-sized fridge suited us. CAT5 was available, but I didn’t use the WiFi. Laundry was convenient with a washer, though I wished it also dried clothes. We hung things in the shower room using the dehydrator and on the bedroom clothesline with the AC running. There weren’t enough hangers. You can request fresh towels by email before 2200 hours for delivery the next day, which can save you from washing both clothes and towels. There also weren’t many outlets by the beds. The closest 24/7 convenience store is a 60 m walk, while the grocery store open 8a-9p is 300 m away. There are several mostly small restaurants nearby, though their hours are limited, and the nearest bus stops are 200 m away. The hotel has no parking, but nearby lots charge by the hour. The street outside is quiet, with room to pull partly onto the property to load or unload. Hakata station is a 1.1 km walk, which is a bit of a trek with luggage or children. One detail made me uneasy: the electric door lock code included the room number.

The location worked well for a medium or longer stay, the rooms have modern, functional furniture, and the price was good. Management also responded quickly when we raised concerns. Those things mattered to us over a stay of more than a few days. Cleaning and room setup could be handled better. I found rusty, dirty residue in a gap between pieces of furniture, apparently from a spilled drink, and it looked as if it had never been cleaned. I wonder if they could do a proper deep clean after checkout in addition to the regular cleaning every 3-5 days. There also seems to be confusion about furniture being moved by guests or cleaners. Don’t move anything, even to show the cleaners what they missed, because they may report it to management as if you moved it for another reason. We had a pan but no spatula, and there was no iron or ironing board. The pan issue was resolved, but guests shouldn’t have to guess what is supposed to be in the room. Items also seem to go missing or get misplaced without being replaced or put back between checkouts and check-ins. It’s a shame there may be ongoing problems with furniture handling and cleaning.

You can cook and do laundry in your room, so staying here feels close to living in Japan. It’s also near the airport and Hakata station, with convenience stores just a few minutes away on foot. I’d stay here again. Since check-in is self-service, book ahead and read the email instructions carefully before you arrive. There’s a lot of information to go through, and the process can be confusing.
