The buffet was good at both breakfast and dinner, and the island had a nice beach with trails that were easy to walk. My Japanese-style room smelled strongly of mildew, while the Western-style room I had last year was nice. There weren't any signs in English, but I'll be back for a third visit.

The beachside setting is magnificent. Since there's a public bath, the rooms don't have showers or tubs. Dinner at the buffet was underwhelming, but breakfast was better.

There's a beautiful panoramic view of the ocean, and the simple rooms have standard amenities. The resort itself doesn't offer much to do, and the hot spring has little variety and needs renovation. Seems like a good place for retirement and for seniors.

The buffet uses fresh, seasonal local food, and every dish tasted really good. You can also use the public hot spring for free from 05:00 to 24:00, but bring your towel from your room. The rooms feel old-fashioned, and most don't have a bathtub. Wi-Fi is free, though it only works in the lobby. It's far from central Fukuoka, so having your own car is better. It was nice hearing the waves all night. The hotel is by the beach and has both an onsen and an outdoor rotenburu. It felt a little overpriced, and I wish the buffet had more choices.
