We checked in on Christmas Day, and the holiday feel was great. The hotel's decor is hip and welcoming. The international service team were friendly, upbeat, helpful, and spoke English very well, which was a big help since we don't speak Japanese. The common kitchen was well equipped, with cutlery, dinnerware, and a large fridge for fresh groceries. We saw other guests preparing meals there. Our room was small, as Japanese hotel rooms often are, but practical, with deep drawers, shelves, and hangers. We could tuck away our shopping until it was time to pack for checkout. The location was convenient, close to two train stations, with lots of places to eat and shop nearby.

The staff were helpful and nice, and the place was modern and very clean. The room was small, which I expected in Japan. The shower was fine even though there's no tub, and being able to watch Netflix, YouTube, and a few other apps was great. The location is decent, about a 5-6 minute walk from the main action, but for the price I paid I would have preferred to be closer. The bigger issue for me was having no refrigerator in the room. There's a shared one on the third floor, and I found that uncomfortable because I like having cold drinks in my room. I probably won't return for that reason, though it's definitely not a bad place.

The staff were really nice and the rooms clean. There's a spot in front of the hotel where you can pick up food and sit down for a relaxed morning or afternoon. The public kitchen is available too, and breakfast can be purchased. I noticed a rooftop bar, though I didn't get to try it. My main inconvenience was that neither a fridge nor a kettle is in the room. Both are in the shared kitchen. The hotel is otherwise very nice.

The staff and location were great, 5/5. The room, though, was so tiny I would give the space 0/5. A cabin-sized suitcase barely fits across, and with larger luggage there's no room to unpack. There's not even a table or wardrobe, so the hairdryer hangs from a hook.
