Not A Hotel Fukuoka

A comfortable, homey hotel with tasteful decor and all the amenities. Had a great stay.

The accommodation's design was impeccable, and the home intelligence system impressed us. Management responded quickly, too. We had an amazing, memorable stay at NOT A HOTEL, and can't wait to try other rooms next time.

I first stayed at NOT A HOTEL after a friend invited me. From Fukuoka Airport, it was about a 15-minute drive. I’d pictured NOT A HOTEL out in nature, but this one was conveniently in the city. There are eight rooms in all, and we stayed in +pent house and +doma. Both rooms had lovely interiors and amenities. We had a great time cooking together, thanks to the cooking tools and tableware, and detergent they provided. A dishwasher and a washer-dryer were there too. Paper towels would probably have been useful for cooking and drying dishes. The toiletries included shampoo, conditioner, body soap, lotion, and emulsion, all by ESOP. The bathroom hand soap was ESOP as well, and even the toothpaste was mini MARVIS, which got me excited. You can take the toiletries home, but the hostel says you'll need to pay for them. The +penthouses room had a sauna with room for four or five people, plus aroma oils for a great scented löyly. Afterwards, we took a dip in the cold water, then went up the stairs to relax on the rooftop terrace. The +doma plan lets you bring your dog, and its large earthen floor beside the living room gives you a nice way to go outside. A tablet controls the lighting, floor heating, and more, so there’s no searching around for switches. The floor heating was surprisingly warm, enough to make me sweat. With the big TV, wireless speakers, and all the other amenities, we had plenty to enjoy. I made the most of my stay. Thanks so much!

The location was easy to reach, and with so many restaurants nearby, it was a pleasant stay. Last year I was in Kitakaruizawa, where there weren't any restaurants close by...lol The place was spacious, the chairs were super comfortable, and I liked having a hammock and a humidifier in the bedroom. The bath chair was too low, though, and the pillow was too high, which was a little disappointing.
