The Blossom Kyoto

The location made getting around easy, with Gojo subway stop just nearby and Kyoto Station only one stop away. Our family of three had a really comfortable stay: the room was spotless and the largest we’ve had in Japan, the mattresses were great, and the staff were friendly. We also made good use of the fitness room and the lounge, with its drinks and snacks. We’ve already recommended it to a friend and would happily come back.

We had a lovely time in the deluxe four-bed room. The staff were attentive and took care of forwarding our luggage, and I really enjoyed the welcome treat, matcha with ice cream, fruit, and jellies. The only frustration was laundry, since there were just six machines for the whole hotel. It didn’t put too much of a damper on the stay.

We slept really well, and the staff were excellent. The hotel is lovely, with comfortable amenities, a great breakfast, and a basement lounge. Try the French toast. A few additions would help: a water dispenser in the lobby or lounge, shelves in the closet, earplugs in the room, and morning bath hours extended to 10 a.m.

You can walk to the markets and shrines, and there are plenty of other sights along the way. The setting inside is beautiful and the rooms are great. There’s a 7/11 across the road, a really good supermarket next door, and lots of places to eat nearby. Breakfast was decent, though I’ve had better at other places. Hard to imagine a better location.
